while visiting utah we had to make a trip to the byu duck pond. on our way there i told the kids stories of when we lived a couple of blocks from the duck pond. andi was about 16 months old and i was 7 months pregnant with cohen. we lived in a darling little brick house with a front porch where we carved pumpkins and placed each one on a step and lit them every night until halloween. it was the most charming {very tiny, but i only had to clean one bathroom and vacuum three rooms} house. everyday andi would beg to go to the duck pond. we would walk, with my big belly and andi pushing her little stroller with her favorite little kitty strapped in. andi usually had her binky popped in her mouth and she would push that stroller as fast has her little legs would go. the kids loved listening to stories of when we lived in provo. every week i would strap cohen in the baby bjorn and we would walk across the street, in the snow, to the provo library for library time.
after we visited the duck pond we had to make a trip to the creamery. the kids got an ice cream and i got a donut. byu makes yummy donuts. then we headed home for the peacemaker party!
i love the peacemaker parties! my mother in law sent down some peacemaker tickets a week before we came up to utah. they had to earn ten tickets in order to go to the party. nancy has a theme for each party. the theme this time was manners. she read the the book, do unto otters {and gave each family their own book}, then they went to a color me mine like place and painted! the kids absolutely love it and i get a little break! they are blessed to have such wonderful grandparents.
we can't wait to go back to utah!
