my oldest child turned 7 yesterday! i can't believe she is that old already. i still think of her as my baby. it feels like yesterday she was just learning to walk with her binkie stuck in her mouth and the only word she would say was, "cat." she is such a good big sister. she is really good to help with the boys and especially jane. she has a wonderful imagination. i love listening to her in the pool playing mermaids or other fun stuff she comes up with (and then she bosses everyone around). she is a hard worker and loves learning. she started piano in september and has done really well, she rarely complains when it is time for practice. she also enjoys tennis lessons. she is still really shy, but is getting a little better (meaning- she will actually talk a little to her aunts and uncles). she is still obsessed with every animal around. i love spending one on one time with her cause she opens up and just talks about everything!
all she wanted for her birthday was the new american girl doll, saige, and the matching outfit. ryan and i got her that (and her age 6 photo book, which turned out so cute)! the boys got her some swim rings that sink to the bottom of the pool and you swim through them. she is a little fish and is literally in the pool all day so she has really enjoyed them. she also really wanted her own beach bag from pottery barn that she got with great grandma colleen's birthday money.
she waited patiently in the morning for us to come sing to her and give her her gifts. she requested an egg burrito for breakfast and homemade toquitos with corn on the cob and honey dew for dinner, and a pazookie instead of cake (she was very specific)!
this year we had a family party. she has been wanting to go to the drive-ins since last year. it worked out perfectly that the new monster inc. movie came out right before her birthday. my whole family came so it was really fun and andi was super excited to watch on top of the defender with her cousins. i made some monster cupcakes and had plenty of snacks and drinks for everyone (i am seriously considering doing a family party every year it was so easy)!
we just love our andi colleen!!

Why did this make me want to cry? I honestly thought I may start to cry thinking of Andi and Brooklyn and how grown up they are getting. Andi is such a beauty and we have absolutely loved having her in our family, she is a wonderful first grandchild and cousin! Happy Birthday, sweet Andi Girl.
