witches' tea

every year i tell my sister this is the last year we are going to do our witches' tea.  but it really is so much fun that we keep doing it.  this year we did it at my house.  i really wanted to do it outside, but it was just too chilly to do it.  it turned out better than i thought it would having it inside.  it was a really fun night!  one of the soups we served was a tomato soup i made (a good friend gave me the recipe) everyone just died over it!  i have made it again and several people have also.  so i am going to share the wonderful recipe :

tomato basil soup

12 cups heavy cream

2 quarts water

8 cups candida brand pizza sauce

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

8 chicken bouillon cubes

12 Tblsp pumpkin puree

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper

fresh basil

dump everything in order (i half it and it still makes a lot), whisk and heat up.  it is really good with some sourdough bread!
