taj mahal

we spent the night in jaipur and got up early the next morning to make our way to the taj mahal.  i loved making the drives in between each city.  india is a really beautiful country.  along the way you find many temples.  we stopped and went inside one.

we rode a buggy up to see the taj mahal.  cars aren't allowed too close to it.  the pollution is making the beautiful white turn grey.  the taj mahal was absolutely stunning.  the stone work was beautiful and i love the story behind it all.  our tour guide was very in to having us do the typical "touristy" photos.  i couldn't stop laughing.  looking back on them still make me laugh.  some native indians also asked if i could take pictures with them.  our tour guide said that many southern indians have never seen a blonde american.  i got asked many times to take pictures with people!  he said that if we have our kids, the indians would have gone crazy!  after we visited the taj mahal we went to see where they make the stones, then we headed back to new delhi!
