birthday boys

in the month of november we get to celebrate ryan's and cohen's birthdays!!  it is so much fun and we just love these boys so much.  every year ryan wants the same thing.  a night downtown.  it's a fun tradition we started when we moved here.  (last year was the only year we didn't do it because we had just gotten home from india).  so, my mom took the kids and we spent the night at the cosmo.  we had a nice dinner, slept in and then had some breakfast.  i swear every couple needs to do this often!!  the actual night of his birthday we went to dinner as a family to smashburger (we have a thing for good cheeseburgers, this is where andi wanted to go and cohen)!  then on the weekend i got about 10 couples together and we went downtown to have dinner on the rooftop of carson kitchen.  it was such a wonderful night with our close friends.  i'm mad i didn't get a picture!  their food is so dang good, especially the bread pudding dessert that is pumped with chunks of glazed donuts.  i just love this guy more and more.  i just can't believe this little family we have created.  we love being with our kids and he is so fun with them all the time!  every morning he is up and out the door by 5.  and every morning before he leaves he comes over to kiss me on the cheek and says, "i love you sweetie"  i just love him.

cohen's birthday this year was on thanksgiving.  we had his party the week before at battle blast laser tag.  he had so much fun with his friends.  birthday morning we came into his room to sing to him and let him open his gifts.  all he really wanted this year were some blue nikes (for BYU) some new nike shirts and a nike jacket.  i got him those plus a new tennis racket and the disney infinity game for the xbox.  this kid is the most tender kid.  he is always aware of others and will give up anything for someone else.  he is a hard worker and very obedient.  lately he has become quit the tease and it can drive me a little bonkers.  he still loves his tennis and has his first tournament in a couple of weeks.  i think i am more nervous than he is.  but it is seriously the cutest thing to watch him play.  we love our coco motion to pieces!!
