date with grandma

last weekend we went to utah for the game (which we do not talk about,it was so awful). while we were there grandma nancy took these two kindergartners out on a date (lindsey and i got to tag along). grandma nancy told them when she was a little girl her grandma hinckley would take her every year (right before school) out to lunch and to pick out a new dress for school. grandma hinckley was a fancy lady. she always wore a dress and gloves. she would take nancy to the zcmi center in downtown salt lake. they would eat lunch there. while eating models would come by and model clothing at each table. then they would go pick out a dress. is that not the most charming thing you have ever heard? how come we don't have fancy restaurants in department stores anymore, with models coming by? i just love it!

we went down to riverwoods and ate lunch at la jolla groves and then went shopping! it was such a fun afternoon and andi really enjoyed being with grandma and brooklyn!
