seoul, south korea

the day after halloween ryan and i (and nate, tara was planning on coming but was 5 months pregnant and couldn't get most of the vaccines so decided to stay) left for india!  ryan has always wanted to go there and we had a friend in new delhi so we figured let's just do it. we both love to travel and we were itching to get out of the country again.  it was one of the most amazing experiences ever.  india is so freakin far and so different.

we flew to LA in the morning and when we were up in the air the pilot announced that there was a shooting at the LA airport and that we may be stuck in the air for awhile.  i thought for sure it was going to take forever.  luckily we were able to land right on time so i thought we were going to catch our next flight at noon.  i was so wrong!!  we were stuck at the airport until 730 that night!!  it was so frustrating.  now we were going to miss an entire day in new delhi.  i was not happy.  we finally made our way to seoul, south korea.  the flight wasn't packed so we each got our own row to sleep.  we landed in korea around 1 am and were wide awake.  we had 12 hours in korea and decided to make the best of it.  when we got to the hotel we dropped our stuff off and got a taxi to head in to town.  o thought for sure there was going to be anything to see, i mean it's 2 am in the morning!  but we turned a corner and the street was packed with college students, clubs and restaurants.  we walked around and even ate street food!  i don't know exactly what i ate but i didn't get sick and it wasn't too bad.  people did not start going home until 6 am.  it was such a crazy experience!
