Christmas traditions

i love looking back on all the pictures in december.  we look forward to our traditions and enjoy every minute of them.  one of our favorite traditions, the live nativity, is no longer going and our family couldn't be more sad about it.  my kids look forward to it every year and it brings such a wonderful spirit during the season.  i seriously am so sad and really hope it comes back.  here are some of our favorite things we do during Christmas (a couple i have to do in their own post):

magical forest.  love this night with family.  this year was fun because ryan's family was in town for cohen's baptism so they all got to come too.

Christmas fireside.  we love to all snuggle up on the couch with some hot chocolate and watch.  (don't mind my messy house)

FHE with the singles.  we made gingerbread houses.  perfect because my house didn't get messy.  it was fun to see some of the singles' houses too, they were incredible

one of andi's friends had a gingerbread party.  her mom sent me this picture :)

my mom took cohen out for lunch and shopping for his birthday.

jane LOVES the tree and was constantly jumping on this chair next to the tree

our singles FHE Christmas dinner and program.

jane loved putting on this santa hat.

my dad got all the boys tickets to the BYU game.  the girls went out to lunch and then andi helped me make my homemade syrup and deliver them to all our neighbors

neal's class did the cutest Christmas program.  he was excited all month and i would catch him practicing throughout the month.  he was very excited for it

one sunday i wanted to include Christmas crackers to celebrate some of our english traditions.  we usually do this with ryan's family Christmas eve.  but since it was my family's year i wanted to do it with just our little family.  the kids were so excited.  for sure we will be doing this every year.
