last week was anderson beach week! we look forward to it every summer. this year everyone came down friday to come to andi's baptism saturday morning (which i will blog when a get a few more pictures). it's tradition to take ryan's family out on the boat the evening before we head out to california. i really wanted to go this year, but all week i was preparing for the luncheon after the baptism and (what took up most of my time) re modeled our powder bathroom. i hadn't packed at all and needed to get that done!
everyone's favorite thing to do on the boat is tube wars! we pull two tubes and each team tries to knock off the other team. it is so fun to watch.
we left sunday morning after brunch at the JW Marriott. this year ryan's family wanted to try some place new so we went to the Marriott Newport Villas. When we got there sunday evening grandma nancy had her peacemaker party. all the grandkids have to earn peacemaker tickets prior to the trip in order to attend. my kids take this very seriously and look forward to it! at the party they decorated beach hats, read books, had strawberry shortcake on a stick and painted. they are so lucky to have such a wonderful grandma!!
