my mom takes each grand kid out to lunch and to the store to pick out a present for their birthday. this year, andi really wanted to go see mojave max and get the turtle (stuffed animal, not real).
a couple of months ago ryan and i took the kids to the red rock visitors center to see the turtle mojave max. we went pretty early in the morning and saw all the turtles out eating their breakfast. it's a pretty nice center and the kids enjoyed going through each exhibit. ever since then andi has been talking about going back and getting the stuffed turtle. she is always in to some animal. the past couple of months she has gone through turtles, sea horses, bighorn sheep, chicks and lions. the animals that she will always love are cats, dogs and ducks. then there are the insects she will always be obsessed with, ladybugs and butterflies. i just love this girl.
so my mom took her to red rock to get her turtle. i was watching my sister's kids while she was at girls camp so we came along. then just andi and my mom went to lunch. andi looks forward to her date with grandma each year! when she got home my nephew asked her this:
isaiah: andi, what is your favorite animal?
andi: land animal or sea animal? because land animal i like turtles, bighorn sheep, ducks (and she kept going). sea animals i like sea horses, dolphins, star fish (she kept going)
